Namaste India Festival 2026 at Yoyogi Park, Tokyo — WeDesi Tokyo x RS Collection at Stall V41

Namaste India Festival 2026 lands at Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September — and it's one of the biggest, warmest celebrations of Indian culture anywhere in Japan. Free to enter, packed with food, music, dance and colour, it's the perfect weekend for anyone who loves India, and a beautiful bridge between the Indian and Japanese communities.

This year it's extra special for us: WeDesi Tokyo will be there in person, at Stall V41, together with RS Collection — and we're handing out free giveaway tickets and discount codes for our big Bollywood night, Desi Matsuri, happening the very same Saturday. Here's everything you need to know.

What is the Namaste India Festival?

Namaste India is Japan's largest Indian cultural festival — an annual, two-day celebration held in the heart of Tokyo at Yoyogi Park. It brings together Indian food, classical and Bollywood dance, live music, yoga, fashion and dozens of stalls, all to celebrate Indian culture and the friendship between India and Japan.

It's free to attend, family-friendly, and draws a huge, mixed crowd every year — Indians and South Asians living in Japan, Japanese friends who love Indian culture, curious first-timers, and travellers. If you've ever wondered where to feel a little bit of home — or simply where to eat incredible Indian food in Tokyo — this is the weekend.

When and where is Namaste India 2026?

  • Dates: Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 September 2026
  • Venue: Yoyogi Park Event Square, Shibuya, Tokyo
  • Entry: Free
  • Nearest stations: Harajuku (JR Yamanote line) and Meiji-Jingumae / Yoyogi-Koen (subway) — a short walk from Shibuya

Yoyogi Park is one of Tokyo's most-loved green spaces, so it's an easy, relaxed day out — come hungry, bring friends, and plan to stay a while.

What to expect at the festival

  • Food, and lots of it: authentic Indian street food and regional dishes — biryani, chaat, curries, dosa, sweets, chai and more. This is many people's favourite reason to come.
  • Music & dance: Bollywood performances, classical and folk dance, and live music on stage across both days.
  • Shopping: stalls selling Indian ethnic wear, jewellery, handicrafts, spices and gifts — including beautiful outfits from RS Collection.
  • Culture & wellness: yoga, henna, and cultural experiences that celebrate the best of India.
  • Community: a genuine home-away-from-home atmosphere — the whole Desi community of Tokyo in one park.

Free Desi Matsuri tickets & discount codes at our stall

Here's the best part. At Stall V41 we're giving away free giveaway tickets and exclusive discount codes for Desi Matsuri — our first-ever Bollywood-themed matsuri, happening on the night of Saturday 26 September at S Night Club, Shibuya.

So the plan writes itself: spend your day at Namaste India in Yoyogi Park, grab your free ticket or discount code from us at V41, then dance the night away at Desi Matsuri just down the road in Shibuya. Festival by day, Bollywood party by night — the perfect Desi Saturday in Tokyo.

Giveaway tickets and discount codes are limited and available at the stall while they last — come early to grab yours.

Why it matters: Indian & Japanese culture, together

Namaste India and Desi Matsuri are two sides of the same coin. One is a Japanese-style daytime festival celebrating India; the other is an Indian Bollywood party wrapped in Japanese matsuri spirit. Both prove the same thing — India and Japan are two festival-loving cultures that celebrate warmly, together. That's exactly the community WeDesi is building in Tokyo.
